I live in the Austin TX suburbs with my wife Ashley, 6 year old daughter Noelle and 4 year old boy Charlie. We moved here three years ago from the Los Angeles area, and are so thankful we did. We’ve built an amazing group of friends here and our lives are so much better for it. When I’m not working, I love to spend time working out in some form, and playing sand volleyball with other dads (from Front Row Dads). I also spend a lot of time researching and investing in anything in the crypto space, as that is a big passion of mine.

My current businesses; Larkin Insurance Agency, which is an $8 million dollar agency, in the top 2% of the company, in Los Angeles that I run remotely from Austin. This is my SMB baby, that I’ve been doing for almost 10 years. I’ve learned so much about the great aspects of SMB ownership, while also seeing the real downsides. It also is a version of a franchise, which adds a layer of experience that I can bring to the community.

My other brand that I’m building is ENS HQ, which is a Web3 domain name brand. The goal is to be the go to place for investors in .eth domain names, which are by far the largest Web3 domains out there. If crypto goes mainstream, these will be the equivalent of buying .com’s in the 90’s. I also started Zilker DAO, which is a decentralized autonomous organization that invests in NFTs that we believe will have significant value in the future. MDD is a perfect culmination of many aspects of who I am and what I care about. 

First and foremost is my family and being the best father and husband I can be. Being able to work when and where I want has been a key element to this. I also love entrepreneurship and being creative in business. With all the crazy technological advances in the last few years, from no-code tools, to crypto, to AI, the potential to leverage them to build amazing businesses has never been bigger.

And the best way to add leverage again is by being apart a community of like-minded people all sharing their knowledge, skills and connections. I’ve seen this happen in many of the communities I’ve been in, especially Front Row Dads. And it can literally change the trajectory of your life.

My goal is for MDD to faciliate this positive financial growth for every member, so that they can focus on what truly matters, which is family.

Mike Higgins

Just a small-town kid navigating life and trying to make a big-time impact. Born and raised in the cheese capital of the world, Wisconsin and one of the few who embrace the snow and cold for 6 months out of the year.

First and foremost I am the lucky husband to a beautiful small-town girl, April, who stole my heart and made me a father to 4 amazing children. 3 rough and tough boys (15,9,7) and 1 even tougher sweet baby girl (4) who has my heart and soul for all of eternity.

The ‘Higgins Half Dozen’ is a crazy homeschooling entrepreneurial family that is doing life their way and not apologizing for any of it. We do things differently, and we love it. We don’t have ‘it’ figured out, and we likely never will, but each day we try to learn something new and do better than we did the day before.

I’ve longed for the sandy beaches and constant sunlight of the south, but after the recent passing of my grandfather, I have realized how blessed we are in having our extended family within driving distance of us and wouldn’t change that for the world. Family is important to us. Arguably the most important, and to have my children be able to grow up and spend summer nights at Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandma’s house is priceless.

When it comes to the wonderful world of business, I currently run a direct-to-seller home-buying company with a partner. The name of our company is Blue Badger Home Buyers (investor page). We primarily flip homes, take the cash from those profits and then deploy them back into more flips or cash-flowing assets. This year we are currently averaging 3-4 closings per month which is quite a bit more than we have done in years past.

In addition to the home-buying company, I am also a licensed General Contractor and run all the construction projects on our own flips, as well as building a nice little book of business in the single-family residential home remodeling space.

All of the focus on building these businesses and starting this community is because I don’t want to spend the entire childhood of my kids only working. The goal is to put in some meaningful seasons of hard work, and then reap the reward of that labor.

 Its much more than money though. Being a business owner allows me to pick and choose the hours that I work. Sometimes that can be a blessing and it can be a curse. It’s a balance. Too much work, and then the family feels it. Too much in the other direction, then its the business that suffers.

The point is, the choice is MINE! Not up to anyone else. Thats why this group exists. Not because I am a person that has cracked the code on 3x freedom. It’s because I am on the journey and want to surround myself with other like minded, family first, men that want the same out of life!
